Counselling
HOW WE HELP
Counselling is a personal and safe process that can involve talking about what is presently difficult for you. It is first about working together to unpack, explore and understand your concerns. Then providing strategies and tools to work towards mental and emotional wellness. Through therapy, you can learn skills and build inner resources that you will be able to take away with you and apply in your daily life to maintain long-lasting changes. Counselling can also involve non-verbal ways of communicating such as mindfulness. somatic practices and meditation. You and your therapist will decide together which approach would feel most comfortable and work best for you.

Root-Cause Therapy
Root-Cause Therapy (RCT) is a trauma healing method that uses regression to allow the completion of unprocessed emotions from past events that are still presently causing unwanted thoughts, behaviors and symptoms. A qualified practitioner facilitates the client to tap into the self-healing mechanisms of the deeper parts of their mind in an empowering safe container, whilst still conscious and awake. This modality is unlike hypnosis, which can create a fear of lack of control. This type of healing creates a space for you to explore the subconscious origin of your current maladaptive emotions, behavioral patterns and results, with you in charge of how healing looks for you, along with our guidance and support.
The effectiveness of this therapeutic method lies in the way that it works on all levels of our mind - the conscious (thinking and logical) and the unconscious mind (where our learnt behaviors and unresolved emotions are stored). Each RCT session is structured in a way that they can help prioritize and work through life-long symptoms and past traumas in a gentle yet comprehensive way. We use kinesiology testing that helps us to identify those unconscious limiting beliefs that compromise your potential for improving your mental health and reaching your life goals. ​

A Root-Cause Therapy session typically runs for 90 to 120 minutes.
Zoom & Telehealth Therapy
If you prefer to receive counselling and therapy in the comfort of your own home or office, or if you are living outside of Brisbane, we can arrange for sessions to be delivered via video conferences at a time that suits you.
Creative therapies
Creative therapies is a powerful way for clients to learn how to process their feelings and experiences in non-verbal ways. It helps them understand how they operate as individuals and how they relate to the world around them. This type of therapy assists to link our emotional brains (limbic system) to our hippocampus (memory system) and thinking brains (frontal cortex) to allow for expression, exploration, facilitation of new neural networks, and healing.
It can involve using play, art, symbol work and other expressive techniques that can be when clients are unable or uncomfortable to participate in traditional “talk therapy”.
This modality can be particularly helpful with individuals who have experienced trauma or children and young people.

Trauma-informed Coaching
Coaching is a positively focused process to help a person deal with issues and challenges before they become major problems. It is also a useful way to help the person achieve a specific personal or professional goal. Coaching helps the client discover answers for themselves as well as developing relevant skills and abilities. Unlike conventional coaching services that focuses on the 'here and now' strategies, we take a trauma-informed approach in our coaching service that we offer, which guides and supports the person in creating sustainable changes.

Workshops
We offer educational and immersive workshops to women, mothers and children focusing on building emotional resilience and mental wellness. Areas of interest are parenting and children support, emotion regulation, goal setting, mindfulness and stress management.
